Good ideas gang. Keep in mind that maker culture goes beyond Makers and the RepRap. You want to look at the entire scope of the project from hackers to food, to culture etc..

One of you folks should read Cory Doctorow's upcoming book "Makers" it's available in installments here: http://www.tor.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=blog&id=38507. It's about the near future where Maker culture extends to a possible conclusion.
